"Jumpin Jehosaphats, Jessie!" M exclaimed in exasperation. "Just fuckin' hit sumthin' already!"

Jessica scowled, throwing the gun Miael had stolen from Burtram's cabin to the ground.

"For fuck's sake, Jessibel!" M exclaimed.

"You try it!" Jessica cried, tears welling in her eyes. "I've been at this for hours and it's still no use. The sight on this thing is not worth a damn gob shit! No wonder he prolly ain't noticed it gone. It's a piece a crap!"

Miael was amused though he was careful to hide it. They had been shooting in the woods for hours now and her aim seemed to be getting worse not better.

"Well you could always just use a knife," M suggested.

"Saul's way bigger than Kyle."

"No matter. If you got the drop on him...."

Jessica's brow knitted.

"If you snuck up on him real quiet like," Miael amended.

"Easy for you to say," Jessica retorted. "You're invisible."

M suppressed his smile. Jessica had definitely been at the leaves again.

"What if he catches me?" she demanded. "He could snap me right in two with his bare hands."

"He won't catch cha," Miael replied, "'cause I won't let 'em."

Jessica scowled at him though she wiped at her brow with her arm and bent down to pick up Burt's shotgun once more.

Firing once again, she once again missed her mark.

"Shit!" she exclaimed throwing the gun to the ground once more.

Miael watched her tantrum with amusement. Catching sight of his merriment, Jessica charged him and toppled him to the ground.

M laughed outright as she did her best to pummel him with her fists.

"What say we kill yo' Pa with one of his own guns and then shoot him in the same spot, up close like, with Burt's gun for good measure," M offered between chuckles

Jessica stopped her assault. "You really think that'll work?" she asked.

"Course I do or I wouldn't have suggested it."

Jessica thought over the idea, a slow smile coming to her face. "I like it!"
